Dec 16th: Alternative Careers in Health Promotion and Education
This 12-week Ontario Bridge Training Program empowers internationally trained physicians to transition into non-practitioner roles within Ontario’s healthcare system. Originally inspired by a group of LINC students at LEF preparing for their medical recertification exams, this group led to the creation of the Canada-wide International Doctors Network (IDN), encouraging a supportive community of healthcare professionals and the creation of this program!
Graduates marked the end of their journey with an in-person celebration, reflecting on their growth through online workshops, activities, and shared learning experiences. This program continues to be an essential resource for internationally trained physicians seeking meaningful careers in healthcare
One of the most significant benefits of the ACiHPE program was the confidence it instilled in me regarding my career prospects. The program equipped me with many transferable skills, which I believe will open doors to numerous job opportunities in non-clinical positions. Additionally, the networking opportunities provided through ACiHPE were invaluable, allowing me to connect with like-minded professionals and expand my professional network
