English Classes

LEF's Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program has been teaching newcomers English for over two decades.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program offers English Classes to the clients from Literacy Level to Level 7,
Monday to Friday,
from 9 AM to 2:30 PM

The classes are FREE OF CHARGE to adults (18 years of age or older) who are

  • Permanent Residents of Canada

  • Convention Refugees

  • Protected Persons

  • MOME 2023

  • or have CUAET Visa

Some of our offerings include:

  • Childcare for children of six months to four years for clients who are enrolled in the program

  • Supportive learning environment

  • Learning English in the classroom and through participating in field trips to fun and educational places, workshops, conversational circles and other language and community activities

  • Transportation Support for Eligible Clients

  • Wheelchair accessible classes

  • Religious accommodations

  • A computer lab and a resource center

  • Addressing language and settlement needs to support newcomers with assimilation in Canada
