Our Philosophy
LEF is committed to creating a vibrant learning community where families, educators and children embark on a shared adventure of learning and growth. Through playful learning and holistic development, we’re on a mission to ignite the spark of curiosity in every child.
Our Philosophy
At LEF, our approach to learning is designed to strengthen families and enrich children’s lives. We believe that in order to join children on their learning journey, educators and parents must come together in community.
Our Philosophy
Our educators are trained to not just prepare your child intellectually, but to build your child’s social, emotional, physical and language development. We do this partly by applying the learnings from our partnerships with Indigenous communities. Beginning with gratitude, Educators and children spend time on the Land, respecting Mother Earth, and learning about the power of reciprocity, the act of giving back.
Our Philosophy
Our educators at LEF are responsible for creating an environment where your child is free to explore and play. Play is the language of children, and while we ensure your child will have varied and impactful experiences, learn numbers and letters, we see play as the essence of learning. Our centres focus on outdoor play and encourage children to follow their curiosity. This is how children discover the world.
Our Philosophy
All LEF, Child Care staff members are expected to read and adhere to LEF policies and procedures, and to be well acquainted with the licensing standards set out in the CCEYA and O.Reg. 137/15 and the City of Toronto Children’s Services’ Assessment for Quality Improvement and working knowledge of “How Does Learning Happening? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.”
