Our Employment Services
We provide support for newcomers to Canada, including those in unique personal and professional situations. We also provide support for new graduates, for those recently completing training or looking for training, and for those who have been out of the workforce for a short or long time.
- Job Supports for YouthLEF Youth Services program serves youths ages 15-30 who are searching for ways to enter the workforce and better their own lives and the lives of those around them.
- Ability Work ExperienceThis program is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities prepare for, find, maintain employment, or become self-employed.
- Launch Your CareerThis program provides youth aged 15-30 who are facing barriers to employment with an opportunity to gain job search assistance by building professional skills and experience.

In addition to empowering individuals to gain employment, LEF forms partnerships with local hiring employers aiming to expand their human resources so they may operate and grow. These partnerships are grounded in community and benefit businesses that create jobs in Toronto by establishing their presence among members of the community, the potential employees looking to work with these businesses, and the communities these businesses serve.

- Building Maintenance and Superintendent TrainingLEF's BMST program offers hands-on building maintenance training with certifications, placement opportunities, and career support to launch your career in property management.
- Bicycle Assembly and Maintenance (BAM)LEF's Bicycle Assembly and Maintenance program offers hands-on training in bicycle mechanics, bike repair experience and a certification at the Weston Wheels Bike Shop.
- Launch Your CareerLEF's Launch Your Career program supports people having a difficult time finding a job in Toronto with career counselling and training, followed by a tailored job search.
- Alternative Careers in Health Promotion and Education for Internationally Trained Physicians (ACiHPE)Alternative Careers in Health Promotion and Education for Internationally Trained Physicians (Ontario Bridge Training Program) or ACiHPE is a 24 week program designed to inform internationally trained physicians about Ontario's healthcare ecosystem in non-practitioner roles.
- Warehouse Essential SkillsLEF's Warehouse Essential Skills program offers forklift certifications, warehousing training, job search support, and skills development for Ontario Works recipients.
- Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) ProgramLEF'S Early Childhood Assistant program offers training in childcare employment, occupation-specific language training, and placement opportunities.
Upcoming Sessions for Newcomers
LEF hosts Job Information Sessions for Newcomers, helping develop skills needed for the workforce. Others will help with finding employment, writing your resume, and improving interview skills.
