Warehouse Essential Skills

LEF’s Warehouse Essential Skills Program is a comprehensive, 10-week long training program that has been successfully connecting graduates to the warehousing and logistics field for over 20 years.

This program is for individuals interested in obtaining forklift certificates and gaining valuable shipping and receiving skills, including Warehousing certifications. One of the program's distinctive features is the inclusion of six weeks of practical warehouse experience, providing valuable hands-on training.

Led by certified industry experts, the Warehouse Essential Skills Program is approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005. Participants graduate with a strong foundation in the industry and the tools needed to succeed in today’s warehousing and logistics sector. Throughout the course, you will:  

  • Obtain essential forklift certifications 

  • Develop shipping and receiving skills 

  • Acquire theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience 

  • Receive job search support and placement assistance   

Upon successful completion, you will receive multiple certifications, including:

  • Narrow Aisle Reach, 

  • Counter Balance Forklift, 

  • Walkie End Rider, 

  • WHMIS, 

  • Occupational Health & Safety, 

  • First Aid, Emergency CPR, 

  • The LEF Industrial Skills Certification.

  • Bicycle Assembly and Maintenance (BAM)
    LEF's Bicycle Assembly and Maintenance program offers hands-on training in bicycle mechanics, bike repair experience and a certification at the Weston Wheels Bike Shop.
  • Forklifts
    LEF offers Forklift Recertification with training for Reach, Counter Balance, and Walkie End Rider Forklifts. Group discounts are available for Employers.
