Family Well-Being Program

Whether you're working long hours or just trying your best, it can be hard to keep up with everything your child is facing – social media, peer pressure, risky behaviours, or even violence in the community.

Supporting Families, Preventing Involvement in Violence

  • Are you a parent, guardian, or caregiver of a young person between the ages of 10 and 29 living in York South–Weston?

  • Are you working long hours or multiple jobs, trying your best to support your child, but still worried about issues like social media, addiction, or violence?

You're not alone, and you don't have to do it alone.

LEF’s free Family Well-Being program is here to help you feel more confident and connected as a parent.

We focus on prevention – giving you tools to strengthen your relationship with your child, and protect them from the risks of gang involvement, crime, and youth violence.


Eligibility

  • Parents, caregivers, and family members of youth aged 10–29

  • Residents of York South–Weston

  • No cost to participate

Our program is tailored for families from Black, Indigenous, and other racialized or marginalized communities who may be facing systemic challenges.

What You Can Expect

This program is designed to meet you where you’re at. Whether you need someone to talk to, advice on how to support your child, or help finding the right resources – you will be guided on how to access them.

    Receive support on how you can get help navigating challenges at home or with your child.

  • Connected Referrals

    Direct connections to local services, programs, and resources based on your family’s unique needs.

  • Community Learning

    We may offer group sessions or workshops on topics like youth communication, social media use, and drug prevention - shaped by parents and the community.
