LEF offers training courses to help you learn the skills you need to succeed in the career that you choose.
Here are the courses we offer
- Warehouse Essential SkillsJoin this 10-week program where you’ll learn warehouse skills such as forklifting and general warehouse logistics. Most of this certification program is hands on, which means you’ll be spending a lot of time inside of warehouses.
- Building Maintenance and SuperintendentThis 10-week program equips participants with the skills for a fast-track to steady employment and success in a high-demand career. Experience hands-on training from experts and get real world experience with a 4-week job placement.
- Early Childhood Assistant ProgramThis program prepares you for roles in childcare facilities or child home care across the city. We also offer a program geared toward newcomers.
- Digital SkillsThe LEF Computer Skills for Today (CST) program is designed to empower you with the skills and knowledge you need to comfortably operate in the digital world.
- English Language TrainingThe program covers a wide variety of content. So while you are learning the language, you will also be learning about employment, education, housing, financial literacy, and other important aspects of life in Canada, including Canadian law.
- Entrepreneurship ProgramThe entrepreneurship program is a free, intensive, in-person training program offered to Newcomer clients.
- Bicycle Assembly and MaintenanceBicycles are a big part of how people commute in Toronto. Learn how to assemble and fix bikes with our experienced LEF Instructor, Darren Duke.
- Alternative Careers in Health Promotion and EducationThe Ontario Bridge Training Program at LEF runs for 24 weeks and is designed to empower internationally trained physicians for employment within Ontario's healthcare ecosystem in non-practitioner roles.
- Launch Your CareerIf you are between the ages of 15-30, out of work and school, and are facing challenges to finding gainful employment, then the Launch Your Career program is meant for you.
