Food fuels our stomachs and our brains and good nutrition is essential to childhood development. Ensuring the children in our child care centres are getting good food has always been a priority at LEF. Our new partnership with Real Food for Real Kids (RFRK) advances our commitment to providing children with nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day and furthering food education and knowledge.
RFRK is a family operated caterer, with all recipes being created and produced in their downtown kitchen using nutrient-rich foods without artificial ingredients, chemical preservatives and factory-farmed meats. Across Toronto, they provide food for over 30,000 children and strive to make food exciting and delicious, going to great lengths to address any dietary needs and requirements.
LEF is excited to partner with an organization that shares the same values when it comes to food. There are many ways in which our families can stay connected with LEF and RFRK:
Read their Blog, The Table, which shares recipes and resources
Follow LEF and RFRK on Instagram for a look at real examples of meals being served in our centres

Note for parents: Our mission is to create a dining experience that is inclusive and fair for every child. To support this, we will not be accepting orders for birthday cakes in any of our centres and request that families do not place any orders for items through this service. This policy helps ensure equity and promotes a strong sense of community among all children.
