Practical Tips for Accessing Healthcare Services

March 5, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM EST.
A workshop for Canadian Newcomers who may not know how to access healthcare services.

Participants will learn how to understand and access healthcare services in Canada, connect with a family doctor. From there participants will learn how to prepare for an appointment, patient rights and responsibilities, how to ask questions, and how to express concerns.

This workshop is only available to newcomers learning English between levels 1 to 3.

Facilitator: Romel Castillo Garcia, an internationally trained physician with extensive expertise in navigate healthcare system in Ontario
