How do I apply for admission to a university or college?

You can apply as a domestic or international student, with each institution setting its own admission requirements and selection process.

You can apply to a college or university in 1 of these categories:

  • Domestic student – if you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident or 

  • International or foreign student – you are not Canadian citizen or permanent resident; you WILL NEED A STUDY PERMIT. 

Each school decides on admission requirements and selects which students to accept.
