How will you (new immigrant) benefit from attending our Language Training Program?
When attending or program, you will develop and improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Based on your knowledge of English, you will be enrolled in a full-time language class from Literacy to Level 7.
Are language classes free?
Yes. The classes are free of charge for eligible clients.
Who is eligible to attend LINC classes?
- Permanent Residents of Canada who are not Canadian citizens
- Convention Refugees
- Persons in Canada applying to become a permanent resident, and who have been informed by a letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada about the initial approval of application, subject to completion of background check
- Adults (18 years of age or older) who have their English tested at one of the local YMCA Language Assessment and Referral Centres in Toronto

Language Training offers newcomers English language training, covering four areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

We offer communication skills for the workplace, job search, interview and resume writing assistance
