Silverthorn Early Learning Earth Centre
Silverthorn Early Learning Earth Centre (SELEC) is a space where all families are welcome, as we support children in developing meaningful relationships with the natural world.
LEF maintains a partnership with a First Nations Educator and a First Nations Elder to support our work towards reconciliation. These partners also work in close consultation with the Supervisor and Educators at SELEC to share Indigenous Teachings related to the land.
Programming at SELEC is facilitated by LEF Educators, with guidance from our First Nations partners for appropriate use of this Knowledge in children’s daily early learning experiences. At the heart of these teachings is gratitude for the earth and all beings, which will be embedded in daily experiences at SELEC.
Children at SELEC spend most of their day outdoors in our playground, nearby Wiigwaam, and surrounding areas, engaging with nature in most weather conditions.

Parking
Free Parking Available on Municipal Drive adjacent to Coronation Park. There is a drop off and pick up Zone in front of the centre so you can safely bring your child into the centre and pick them up at the end of the day.
