Hourly Rate: $17.60

Job Summary:

The Youth Assistant will support the Youth Client Engagement Worker with the planning and delivery of the youth program for newcomers and marginalized youth in and around our community to meet their various needs.

This position is open to youths aged 16 and have not yet reached the age of 29.

This position is a 35-hour work week, 8 weeks duration approx. starting June 22, 2026.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Assist developing and supporting the facilitation of online youth activities and outreach promotion using social media.

  • Assist with the research and implementation of basic practices for effective virtual delivery of the online sessions.

  • Responsible for submitting daily program plans to the Youth Client Engagement Worker.

  • Performing other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be between the ages of 16 and 29 years of age

  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen

  • Enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in the Social Service field

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Able to use online communication platforms and social media outlets

  • Ability to navigate the internet, use email and do reports

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Able to work remotely in a home office
