Our integrated services focus on those: in transition, new to Canada, out of the workforce, laid off, and a host of other individual circumstances. LEF offers a holistic service model, builds on community connections, and focuses on supporting the economic independence and community engagement of families. Our Client Engagement Team weaves together services and resources to offer seamless support across newcomer, training and employment services, and all job responsibilities reflect one integrated program with staff working together across interdisciplinary teams.

About The Programs:
The Alternative Careers in Health Promotion & Education Program (ACiHPE) will assist 90 international medical graduates (IMGs) in gaining employment in non-regulated healthcare promotion, education, and related fields. The project offers a 24-week program, including 180 hours of technical training, and provides tailored employment support through work placements and internships to connect participants with employers.
The Pathways into the Child Care Sector Project will assist 75 internationally trained professionals with education or early childhood education backgrounds to gain employment in the early childhood education sector. This project will provide training, work experience, and job connections tailored to individuals transitioning into the childcare sector.
The LEF Wellness Network is a 10-week, cohort-based program that helps individuals prepare for Integrated Employment Services (IES) through weekly coaching, workshops, and peer networking. Delivered in partnership with Employment Ontario, it builds support networks and enhances participant readiness and well-being.
Job Summary:
The Program Manager will oversee three key programs: the ACiHPE Program (60%), the Pathways into the Child Care Sector Program (25%), and the LEF Wellness Network, a cohort-based program supporting engagement with Integrated Employment Services (IES) (15%). The Manager will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of all three programs, including leading program implementation, overseeing participant engagement and work placements, building employer and community partnerships, supervising staff, and ensuring participants achieve targeted outcomes. The role requires strong coordination, relationship-building, and leadership skills to manage diverse projects that support newcomers and job seekers in achieving their career and settlement goals.
Overall Responsibilities:
Program Oversight & Coordination:
Oversee the delivery of the Bridge Training Programs and LEF Wellness Network, ensuring the provision of workshops, training, work placements, and employer connections.
Monitors program forecasts and budgets and works with the Finance Department to complete claims and forecasts required by funders.
Employer Engagement & Stakeholder Relations:
Establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with employers in both the healthcare and childcare sectors to facilitate work placements and employment opportunities.
Ensure that projects meet the target of work experience placements and employment outcomes.
Manage funders’ relationships and reporting requirements.
Data Management & Reporting:
Collect and analyse data for all projects, providing regular progress reports to funders and stakeholders.
Ensure that all projects meet their respective performance targets
Team Leadership & Support:
Oversee the consultants and project team members involved in the projects, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective program delivery.
Provide regular feedback to the team to ensure goals are met and program outcomes are achieved.
Grounds work in the Client Engagement Code of Practice and other LEF policies.
Maintains positive, open, and direct communication lines with Program Coordinators, Client Engagement Staff, Managers, Directors and other stakeholders.
Performs regular performance reviews against goals and day to day work.
Provides ongoing information to the team on strategic and work plans and how their work supports LEF priorities and vision.
Holds regular team and individual check-in meetings to ensure open and ongoing supports and communications.
LEF Health and Safety compliance:

Works in compliance with all LEF health & safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors’ degree in a related field from an accredited College/University
1 to 3 years’ experience leading successful teams and managing effective programs in social services or related fields.
Experience establishing and maintaining strong partnerships that lead to employment outcomes
Familiarity with the healthcare and childcare sectors, including the challenges of international professionals entering these fields.
Personal commitment to a community and client responsive approach
Strong organizational, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in data analysis and report preparation.
Knowledge of skills development and workforce development strategies
Ability to monitor program forecasts and budgets, and work with Finance Department to complete claims and forecasts required by funders.
Experience with program reporting and evaluation

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media, and other relevant applications.

Comfortable working on new, uncertain, and abstract projects where the requirements are sometimes unclear.
Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Works well under pressure and produces on deadlines.
Strong understanding of the local community (Weston/Mount Dennis) and of community development issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-disciplinary team in a pro-active manner.
Demonstrated success in working with adults of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Multi-cultural sensitivity and able work in a multi-cultural/multi-racial environment.
