Our Client Engagement Team weaves together services and resources to offer seamless support across newcomer, training and employment services, and all job responsibilities reflect one integrated program with staff working together across interdisciplinary teams.
Reports to: Sr Director, People and Culture
Job Summary:
The HR Administrator role is a full-time position which would work within the People & Culture team, this role will provide comprehensive HR support to Health & Safety, Labour Relations, Recruitment, Document management, and the team. This role can have tight deadlines as these areas have time sensitive matters.
Salary Range: $46,000 to $50,500
Job Duties:
HR Administration
Following up and updating employee information
Probation period follow up with Managers
Able to create and provide monthly reporting
Support to setup/organize training workshops
Receive and triage grievances, ensuring responses are in adherence to the Collective agreement
Updating employee facing data via SharePoint
Recruitment
Supporting Resume review and pre-screen setups
Ongoing communication with candidates in regard to status
Processing documents (HRIS & Payroll)
Internal forms submission for new hires
Orientation setup
Health & Safety
Ensure Monthly Inspections are completed and records maintained
Follow ups with Return-to-work survey and check-in
Work in compliance with all LEF health and safety policies and procedures
Participate in promoting the Occupational Health and Safety Policy Statement
Participate in health and Safety education and training
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Post Secondary education in Human Resources
2 years experience in an HR role
CHRP designation or actively pursuing it, would be an asset
Excellent prioritization and time management skills
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
Ability to work within a team environment or independently, as required
Solid understanding of Ontario employment standards legislation
Knowledge of Human Rights and Occupational Health and Safety Act would be an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools such as Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Prior experience working with an HRIS would be an asset (Preferably Dayforce)
Prior experience using SharePoint would be an asset
Team oriented person who thrives on supporting common goals
Experience working in a unionized environment would be an asset
Ability to work from a home office and report to LEF head office as required
