Job Summary:
This position is open to youths aged 16 and have not yet reached the age of 29.
This position is a 35-hour work week, 8 weeks duration approx. starting June 15, 2026.
This position requires creativity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with others.
Ensuring all events/room booking are tailored to meet the individual needs.
Reports to: Manager of Events and Bookings
Hourly Rate: $17.60
Overall Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing a variety of events
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, event goals, and budget for the event
Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Develop and manage the events budget, ensuring that all expenses are tracked and controlled kept within limits
Create event timelines and detailed plans to ensure all aspects of the event are organized and executed smoothly
Assisting with correspondence, and other documents as requested
Design and implement event themes, layouts and décor to create a memorable experience for attendees
Assist in scheduling and confirming room bookings responding in timely manner
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Must be between the ages of 16 and 29 years of age
Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen
Post-secondary education is preferred
Good oral and written communication skills
Efficient in time management and punctual to work
Ability to work in a team in a pro-active manner
Multi-cultural sensitivity and able work in a multi-cultural/multi-racial environment
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of individuals
