Job Summary:
The Community Support Worker is a warm, engaging, patient, and respectful, and you understand which outreach techniques work best with different demographic groups The CSW will assist Client Engagement in supporting community members access basic information and resources address local needs and issues; usually related to basic needs and other community resources, to ensure a positive client experience.
This position is open to youths age 16 and not yet reached the age 29.
This position is a 35-hour work week, 8 weeks duration approx. starting May June 22, 2026.
Reports to: Senior Manager, Client Engagement
Hourly Rate: $17.60
Overall Responsibilities:
Support the Client Engagement team with walk in clients trying to access local services
Assist clients navigating various components of newcomer and community services.
Assist client with Resource Centre, including trouble shooting, printing, photocopying
Offer suggestions of appropriate tools and resources that can be used to assist in connecting clients community programs and resources.
Support administration duties including data entry
Support group activities
Qualifications and Experience:
Must be between the ages of 16 and 29 years of age
Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen
Demonstrate understanding of employer and client needs
Good oral and written communication skills
Versed in using online communication platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classrooms etc.
Proven ability to navigate and research on the internet
Strong organizational and time management skills
Able to work remotely in a home office
