LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION FOR NEWCOMERS TO CANADA - LINC LINC is free English as a second language training for newcomers to Canada covering the four skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To be eligible, one must be an adult (over 17 years) newcomer to Canada and is either a Permanent Resident or a Convention Refugee (Refugee whose claim for refugee protection has been accepted). |

LEF’s Literacy and numeracy classes are designed for adults who need help in reading, writing and basic mathematics. Classes are available for English as First Language learners and English as Second Language learners with advanced listening and speaking skills. The Literacy program has continuous intake and you can register anytime by calling LEF at 416.760.2568 or the Literacy Access network at 416.961.5557 for the location of a school near you. |
